Seaton extension & renovation

I started overseeing the construction project in June 2019, which involved renovating the interior, extending the front, and updating the rear with cosmetic work and landscaping. Although plans had been submitted two years prior, the client struggled to find a reliable builder. The original architect had completed the initial design but was no longer available.

Due to poor workmanship and the need to support additional weight, all joists and floors were replaced. A local structural engineer was brought in to assist with the extension, which involved installing a large steel frame supported by internal steels.

As the project advanced, I worked closely with the client, who had difficulty visualizing the changes. I created simplified plans and 3D renders to help her understand the layout and appearance, allowing her to make informed decisions and adjustments before the build continued.
